Tableau:Create and customize measure filters | Fundamentals
Please download the dataset:
Your manager is particularly concerned about sales in the Central region, and wants to know which products are generating negative profits. You decide it will help to create an additional filter on Profit. Create a filter for the sum of Profit to filter data on negative profit and title it "Adjust View by Profits".
When you are done, your view should look like the image below.
Create a filter for Profit to show products that did not generate any profit.
Open the starter file Product View Starter.twbx from your saved location.
Drag Profit to the Filters shelf.
In the Filter Field dialog box, select Sum, and then click Next.
Select At Most as the filter type.
Type 0 (number) in the text box and then click OK.
Show the Profit filter in the view.
Right-click the Profit filter in the Filters shelf.
Select Show Filter.
Change the title of the Profit filter to Adjust View by Profits.
Click the drop-down arrow on the Profit filter card and select Edit Title.
In the Edit Title dialog box, type Adjust View by Profits and click OK.
Hover over each product to see the profit numbers. You will see that all values are in negative.
Great work! You added the measure filter for Profit to limit the view to products returning a negative profit.
